Near Field Communication is a next-generation wireless technology that allows transmission of small packets of data via radio frequency identification (RFID) transponders such as mobile phones for contact-less payment transactions.

Masria Card going to produce RFID based Smart Cards

Cairo, Egypt, June 24 2010 - Rana Nafea, the executive director for Masria Card ensured that the company going to add a production line in its factory to be speciallized in producing smart card based on RFID.

Ms. Rana added that joining Nile Stock Exchange (Nilex) the new stock exchange for small and medium enterprises were good idea which facilitated internal fund for the company could push them to turn into structural corporate governance.

The Egyptian ministry of transportation raise the high way & desert road fees using RFID

The Egyptian ministry of transportation get ready to implement advanced wireless system to be able to raise the roads fees, According to Eng. Alaa Fahmy the Egyptian minister of transportation "the desert road that conect the capital "Cairo city" with Alexandria city well be the first road for try such system by 2011"

Fahmy added that the system will depend on RFID technology and would be implemented as a trial by the beginning of 2011, for examining primary operating result of that system then move out to prevail the system on a group of high ways and free roads which would be determined later.

Inauguration of RFID system in Survey and Land Registration Bureau building

His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Abdullah bin Hamad al Khalifa president of Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) the governmental organization in charge of land, aerial, hydro graphic survey services and the registration of real estate properties in the Kingdom of Bahrain inaugurated the RFID system recently deployed in the SLRB building in presence of His Highness Sheikh Ahmad bin Atiyat Allah Al Khalifa, cabinet affairs minister and Shaikh Hamood bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Capital Governor.

The RFID implemented solution will track documents right from their origin and after a process of approvals will archive land Registration deeds to central database. The solution will ensure safe archiving and easy retrieval of documents at SLRB.
