دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة، 17 يوليو 2011: بعد حوالي عامين من اعتماده من قبل وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي، تمكن حل التصديق الإلكتروني باستخدام المستند الذكي، الذي قامت الشركة الإماراتية المتخصصة في ابتكار الحلول الذكية "عامري كون" بتطويره، من استقطاب أكثر من 30 جامعة ومؤسسة تعليمية في دولة الإمارات. وتقوم الجامعات والمؤسسات التعليمية الإماراتية والعاملة في الإمارات بتطبيق حل التصديق الإلكتروني باستخدام المستند الذكي، الذي يستخدم تقنية الموجات الراديوية (RFID)، بهدف حماية الشهادات الجامعية من التزوير أو التلاعب إلى جانب تسهيل وتسريع عمليات التصديق. وقد أبدت العديد من المؤسسات التعليمية ارتياحها من جراء استخدام هذا الحل الإلكتروني، الذي ساهم في اختصار الوقت والجهد تسريع عمليات التصديق والتأكد من صحة الشهادات، وطالبت بعض المؤسسات بتعميم هذا الحل على الوزارات والدوائر والمؤسسات الحكومية وشبه الحكومية التي تقوم بتعيين الخريجيين في الوظائف المختلفة.

UAE smart technology solution company Amricon, has announced that 30 UAE universities and educational institutions have adopted the Smart Document Attestation Solution, designed to protect certificates against fraud.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR) embraced the smart chip solution, which uses a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) label to protect certificates from malpractices, two years ago.

"The Smart solution is an important innovation and underlines our commitment to keep pace with progressive technological developments. This breakthrough has eliminated the risk of certificate forgery and accelerated procedures.

تنشر جامعة نجران رقاقات الراديو اللاسلكية (تحديد الهوية باستخدام موجات الراديو) لتتعقب مواقع 23000 من أصولها في العديد من مبانيها بالحرم الجامعي وذلك بغية تقليل السرقة وزيادة الدقة فى إدارة الاصول. في 23 يوليو 2010 استهلت جامعة نجران عملية تعقب أصولها باستخدام موجات الراديو في 21 مبنى جامعي بمدينتي نجران وشروره وهذه مهمة معقدة. الجامعة ككل بها 33 مبنى إداري وتعليمي في 13 كلية. الاصول المتنوعة التي تشمل على (الاثاث وتجهيزات وأدوات المعامل وأجهزة الماسح الضوئي والحاسب الألى وألات التصوير) المجودة في كل أنحاء المباني يجب أن يتم تعقبها وتتبعها من قسم مركزي. والجامعة تتتبع هذه الإجراءات من قبل وزارة التعليم العالي. فالتمكن من معرفة و رؤية مكان كل جهاز باتت مهمة صعبة عندما كان قسم تعقب تلك الاجهزة معتمدا على سجلات مكتوبة بالمكان الذى أرسل إليه الجهاز. فالتعقب المعتمد على العمل الورقي مع التوسع السريع في مباني الجامعة سمح بوجود أخطاء. فأحياناً يتم فقدان هذه الاصول والجامعة تعلن عن ذلك بأنها إما أن تكون سرقت أو تم نقلها إلى عضو هيئة تدريس اّخر أو قسم اّخر بدون تسجيل وتوثيق هذا النقل.

Najran University is deploying active and passive RFID tags to track the locations of 23,000 assets at its many campuses, with a goal of reducing theft and increasing asset-management accuracy.

July 23, 2010—Najran University, with 21 campuses located in two Saudi Arabian cities—Najran and Sharoura—located 180 miles apart, tracking assets is a complex task. Collectively, the campuses have 33 administrative and teaching buildings with 13 colleges, and the various assets—which include furniture, lab equipment, tools, scanners, computers and copiers—located throughout all of the many buildings must be tracked from a central department, following procedures required by the nation's Ministry of Higher Education. Gaining visibility regarding each item's location was difficult, however, when the department was dependent on written records of where an asset was initially sent. Paperwork-based tracking, combined with the university's rapid expansion, allowed for errors.

Assets often went missing, the university reports, because they were either stolen or merely relocated to other staff members or departments, without that transfer being recorded. In fact, the school estimates that 5 percent of the yearly purchases were lost, on average, through shrinkage—a large number, since the school purchased more than $26 million worth of furniture, electronics and medical equipment in 2006.
